“New Feature” -How to edit sent messages on WhatsApp

Users of WhatsApp can now edit messages that have already been sent thanks to a new feature.

WhatsApp users can now edit their outgoing messages, even up to 15 minutes after they have been delivered, according to Mark Zuckerberg, the CEO of Meta, on Monday.

With the help of this new tool, users have more control over their interactions and can correct mistakes, make sentences more understandable, or add details.

Following these steps within a 15-minute window after sending a message on WhatsApp will allow you to edit it:

1. Open the appropriate WhatsApp chat.
2. Select the message you want to edit by long-pressing on it.
3. From the menu that pops up in the top-right corner, choose “Edit”.

The word “edited” will appear next to the message’s header as a reminder.
Receivers of the altered messages will be advised of the adjustment without having access to the complete edit history, which is significant.

This function is now being rolled out to users, according to a statement from Meta, and it is anticipated that everyone will have access to it in the upcoming weeks.
