Man allegedly gunned down in Sokoto 10 days after his wedding, father kidnapped

A tragic incident has shaken the community in Sokoto State, as a Nigerian man was mercilessly shot dead just 10 days after his wedding.

The news was broken by the Labour Party (LP) National Youth Leader, Mallam Jabeer, who expressed his grief through his official Twitter account.

The victim, whose identity has been withheld, was working diligently on his farm in the Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State when unknown gunmen attacked him.

Tragically, the assailants opened fire, resulting in the young man’s untimely demise. In addition, the attackers also kidnapped the victim’s father, leaving the family in a state of shock and despair.

The heart-wrenching incident occurred on the 1st of August, leaving friends, family, and the local community devastated.

Mallam Jabeer took to social media to share the grievous news, highlighting the need for immediate action by the government and security agencies to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

The post reads;

“This young man was shot dead 10 days after his marriage while working in his farm in Isa local gov’t area of sokoto state.

They killed him and also kidnapped his father. The incident happened today and yet nothing has been done by the relevant authorities. Sad.”
