Don’t come here, allow us build NDC in peace – Peter Obi tells Tinubu govt

Former presidential candidate Peter Obi has called on the administration of Bola Tinubu to refrain from interfering in the affairs of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC).

Obi made the appeal on Sunday in Abuja while receiving members of the party shortly after officially joining its ranks.

He urged the government to allow him and other members the freedom to organize and build the party without disruption.

His words …

“We want to pull people out of poverty because we want to build a country where a child of no body can become somebody without knowing anybody.

“We are using this occasion to plead with the government of today, you know that I contest election in LP, Kwankwaso contested election in a different party…. the leader has already told us their destination and we are building with them. Respect our democracy, please don’t come here.

“We are pleading with you, don’t come here, we are pleading with you that we want to have peace, we want to build the party.

“We don’t want cases, we are pleading with the judiciary to end cases in parties.

“Please let there be no litigation. Party members, please don’t go to court. We want to build a party, we are not lawyers.”
