Man gets unexpected responses after asking why Nigerians will vote for Tinubu in 2027
A street interview in Abuja has captured mixed reactions from residents after a man approached people at the city gates and asked whether they would vote for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The interviewer opened the video by explaining that he was at the city gates to ask residents why they planned to vote for Tinubu.

“All right, so why will you be voting for President Tinubu in the coming elections?” he asked the first person.
The resident immediately rejected the idea of supporting the president, asking, “Why will I vote for him? Am I crazy?”
“I’d rather die or run away from the country,” the person added, before making a further comment about Nigerians using their own money to deal with the situation.
Another voice in the background described the situation as “wicked, very, very wicked.”
The interviewer then approached another resident and repeated the question about voting for Tinubu in the coming election.
“Why am I voting for President Tinubu? I’m not voting for him actually,” the resident replied.
When asked why, the person said, “Well, I don too much suffer. I’m not going to lie, I don too much suffer, but all good.”
The interviewer appeared to seek clarification before the resident repeated that they would not be voting for Tinubu.
“I’m not voting for President Tinubu,” the resident said.
When asked why, the person explained, “Because, one thing, I’m not an APC party member.”
Another resident was then asked the same question about the 2027 election.
“I’m not going to vote for him,” the person replied.
Asked why, the resident pointed to the economic difficulties facing Nigerians, particularly young people.
“The country is very bad, like the youth. There’s no work now, there’s nothing. I can’t see anything, any reason to vote for him,” the person said.
“So I’m not going to vote, yes,” the resident concluded.
The interviewer later approached another person and again asked why they would vote for President Tinubu in the coming election.
Instead of giving a detailed political response, the man introduced himself as “Jermid baby” and appeared to treat the encounter playfully.
“As you can see, guys, we are out here to have fun. Like, catch some funk, bro,” he said.
He then told the interviewer, “Good luck because we are going to vote. Enjoy your day, bro.”
The interviewer ended the street interview by acknowledging that it was his first attempt at conducting such interviews.
“I’m basically done asking the questions for today but, well, just so you guys know, this is my first time,” he said.
He added that he received several reactions he had not anticipated and encouraged viewers to follow him for more interviews.
