“Almost everybody got down…” — Lady narrates how bus passengers reacted to woman’s urgent request

A lady has gone viral after recounting a tense moment during a road trip when passengers refused to let a woman alight from a commercial bus to relieve herself in the middle of a deserted bush.

According to the eyewitness, the incident quickly escalated into a heated argument after the woman insisted she urgently needed to urinate and begged the driver to stop the vehicle.

However, several passengers objected, citing the country’s security challenges and expressing fears that stopping in an isolated area could expose everyone to danger.

Passengers feared it could be a security trap

Sharing the experience, the lady explained that some travellers believed allowing the woman to get down in the middle of the bush was too risky.

She said, “The woman got angry and threatened to pee inside the bus if the driver didn’t stop.”

The eyewitness added, “The driver shouted that if she peed inside his bus, he’d drop her there and drive off.”

As the disagreement continued, an elderly woman reportedly argued that the country had become too unsafe to stop on lonely roads, while another passenger suggested the woman’s insistence might be part of “a mission.”

Unexpected ending sparks reactions online

The lady said the driver eventually decided to stop only after reaching an area that was no longer surrounded by thick bush.

She further stated, “To my surprise, almost everybody got down to pee too.”

The unexpected twist amused many social media users, with some describing the incident as both hilarious and relatable.

Others noted that the passengers’ initial refusal reflected growing concerns about insecurity during road travel in Nigeria, while agreeing the driver’s decision to wait until reaching a safer location was understandable.
