A Nigerian man who sent ₦70,000 to the wrong Opay account has shared details of the receiver’s response.
In a post on X, the man shared that the receiver notified him that he would return ₦50,000 and keep ₦20,000 for being honest.
Man Speaks Out After Wrong Transfer
Identified as @Dr-Pharouk on X, the man disclosed that the receiver mistakenly transferred ₦700,000 to his account.
Meanwhile, the receiver has been reaching out constantly, soliciting for refund.
”I accidentally sent 70K to a wrong Opay account. The owner said he would keep 20K for his honesty and send back 50K. I agreed. Then he mistakenly sent me 700K instead.Now, he has been calling me since and begging me to send all the money as it’s for his boss. What should I do?“, The tweet reads.
