A Nigerian lady’s post explaining why she rejected a marriage proposal has gone viral online.
The lady, identified as @Esther-aroboto on X, (formerly Twitter), disclosed that the decision stemmed from her ex-boyfriend’s joblessness.

According to the X user, she provided her ex-boyfriend capital to start a business, while he spent it on studio sessions.
During the proposal, she made an Inquiry and his response led to an immediate breakup.
”I asked him, ‘how do we survive? How do we raise children and build a future?.This man looked me in the eye and said, “You’re studying a good course, you’ll get a good job after school while I continue chasing my music career. At that moment I realized I wasn’t dating an upcoming artist“, She stated, recounting how the proposal unfolded.
Lady’s Post About Ex-boyfriend
Meanwhile, her ex-boyfriend reached out to her for help with his baby’s feeding and hospital expenses.
Last week, she urged him to get a job and stop asking her for financial assistance. In a surprising twist, an old friend reached out and told her she was being too harsh on her ex-boyfriend and should apologize to him.
According to the lady’s account, she thanked her friend for the intervention and then blocked her.
