A mother and small-scale businesswoman has shared a humorous yet revealing account of how she cleverly recovers money from her children when they refuse to hand over cash gifts received from their father or visitors.

Speaking anonymously, the woman said the situation unfolded in February 2026 inside her family home, where she operates a mini retail business alongside managing household responsibilities.

According to her, the tactic was born out of repeated instances where her children hid gifted money while still enjoying items she had purchased for them.

She explained that rather than scolding or forcing them, she turned the moment into what she described as a “business lesson,” reminding them that every action has consequences.

“Anytime their daddy or visitors give them awasmoney and they refuse to give me, I simply bring out the provisions he bought for them and sell it back to them at a very high price. Biscuits, drinks, sweets — everything becomes available for sale.”

She added that the children often ended up spending the same money they tried to hide, learning a lesson about value and control in the process.
