“The last time I cried was…” — Zlatan opens up about impact of Mino’s death
Former football star Zlatan Ibrahimović has shared an emotional account of the pain he experienced following the death of his long-time football agent, Mino Raiola.
Speaking during an interview, Ibrahimović revealed that the last time he genuinely cried was after Raiola died, describing the loss as one of the hardest moments of his life.
Ibrahimović recalls emotional loss
When asked when he last cried, the former striker did not hesitate before mentioning Raiola, with whom he shared a close personal and professional relationship.
“When Mino passed away. I told you, it was a big hit for me. And I cried until the last… Finished. And it’s still not finished because sometimes I get flashbacks and it brings me down in a way that I miss him too much. And I think everybody that knows him and me, they know how close we were.”
The interviewer then asked when Raiola died, to which Ibrahimović replied: “Passed away last year.”
The conversation ended with a heartfelt question about what he would say if he could send Raiola one final message.
Without hesitation, Ibrahimović responded: “I miss you.”
Raiola, one of football’s most influential agents, represented several of the sport’s biggest stars throughout his career.
His relationship with Ibrahimović extended beyond business, with the pair widely regarded as close friends who worked together for many years.
Ibrahimović’s remarks offered a rare glimpse into his emotional side, as he reflected on the lasting impact of losing someone he considered an important figure in both his football career and personal life.
