Taiwo Hassan was born on October 31, 1959, in Ilaro, a town in Ogun State, Nigeria. He has a twin sibling, and his family history includes twins.
His father and grandfather were twins. Ogogo did his primary schooling at Christ Church School in Ilaro. He attended Gazikia College in Lagos for secondary education but was unable to complete it due to budgetary constraints.
He then attended a technical college and spent approximately 13 years working as an automobile mechanic for the water business.
Career
Ogogo began his acting career in 1981, shortly after starting as a mechanic. In 1994, he resigned his job at the Water Corporation to focus on acting.
He starred in the renowned television show Yemi My Lover. Following his debut, he went on to star in several Yoruba films, including Owo Blow, Ija Ominira, Owo Ale, Koto Orun, Kosorogun, Ile Aiye, Kofo Tinubu, Oloju Ede, and many others.
Taiwo Hassan’s filmography includes almost 100 films in Yoruba and English from Nollywood. His ability to play a variety of roles, from villain to funny, illustrates his dramatic versatility.
