“She even wanted to pay for it” – Orange seller overjoyed after artist gifts her free artwork
A street artist got an orange seller at Ibadan’s Apata market trilled after he created an outstanding artwork for her.
When the artist came around and drew the old woman, she was seated near her dish of oranges. It happened quickly when the artist took out his pencil and paper and began working.
When he presented her with the artwork, she was surprised to find her face on the paper.
She smiled enthusiastically and even offered the artist money as a sign to show her appreciation for the artwork, but he declined. Bamishaye Sunday David, the artist, said;
“It took her by surprise when I handed over the drawing to her. She was very happy and even offered me money.”
