How dating for looks contributed to my failed relationships – Lady

A lady has opened up about her past relationships, admitting that her focus on physical appearance when choosing partners contributed to some of her relationship failures.

According to her, she had previously dated men based largely on their looks and was particularly attracted to handsome, fair-skinned men.

However, she said her experiences taught her that physical attraction alone does not guarantee a successful relationship, noting that people cannot always find every quality they desire in one partner.

The lady acknowledged that it is possible for someone to find a physically attractive partner who also possesses all the qualities they want, describing such a person as lucky.

However, she maintained that prioritising looks did not work for her and said several people she knows have had similar experiences.

She said …

“Me, I will not tell you that in this life that I have not tried dating for looks or loving a man for looks. In fact, one of the reasons why I have failed in a relationship over the years is because I’ve been dating for looks. I didn’t just date for looks. I also fell for looks. Looks can only deceive you, to be honest. That’s why they always say that you can never get everything you want in one person. And I thought it was a lie. I’ve always wanted cute people because I was always attracting cute boys, especially fair boys. But fair boys do show me shege you fair boys, especially those one wey fine.

So if I come out tell you, you fit Comot dey talk say it was like that for you, it’s not going to be like that for me. I gree. I hope it’s not going to be like that for you. That doesn’t stop me from talking about my experience.
