Sadiq Umar in action as Valencia down Barcelona 3-1 in La Liga finale

Valencia have secured a 3-1 win against Barcelona in their final 2025-26 La Liga match on Saturday night at the Mestalla Stadium.
Barcelona opened the scoring through Robert Lewandowski in the 60th minute, but Valencia rallied with goals from Javi Guerra, Luis Rioja, and Guido Rodríguez to take the three points.
Nigeria international and Valencia striker Umar Sadiq participated in the match, coming on as a substitute in the 80th minute to help close out the win.
First-half stalemate
Both teams played out a scoreless, defensive first 45 minutes. Barcelona controlled large portions of possession but struggled to break through Valencia’s backline, and both goalkeepers were rarely tested during the opening exchanges.

Barcelona takes the lead
Lewandowski broke the deadlock on the hour mark to give the visitors a 1-0 advantage.
However, the lead was short-lived, as Valencia mounted a determined response in front of their home crowd.
Valencia’s late push
Guerra equalized for the home side in the 66th minute before Rioja put Valencia in the lead five minutes later.
With the game entering stoppage time, Guido Rodríguez scored a third goal for Valencia, sealing the comeback victory in the final round of the regular season.
