Tottenham complete Savinho signing from Manchester City
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City as Roberto De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad following a difficult previous campaign.
The Premier League clubs confirmed the transfer on Monday, although neither disclosed the financial terms or length of the player’s contract. Reports in the British media put the initial fee at £75 million, with a further £10 million potentially payable in add-ons.

The deal takes Tottenham’s spending beyond £300 million during a busy summer transfer window.
De Zerbi welcomes attacking addition
Savinho has emerged as one of Tottenham’s most significant summer arrivals after developing his reputation in Spain and England.
“Savinho is a player who brings energy, imagination and quality in wide positions. He has the courage to attack defenders and the ability to change a game with his creativity,” De Zerbi said.
“We’re very pleased to have him with us, and I’m looking forward to working with him, helping him continue to grow and seeing him bring his personality to the team.”
The 22-year-old began his career at Atletico Mineiro before joining French club Troyes in 2022.
His breakthrough came during a loan spell at Girona, where he scored 11 goals in 41 appearances as the club finished third in La Liga during the 2023-24 season.
That campaign earned him a move to Manchester City, where he made 84 appearances across all competitions and scored seven goals. He has also won 13 caps for Brazil.
Spurs continue transfer overhaul
Savinho becomes the latest major addition to a Tottenham squad that has undergone significant changes this summer.
The club have also recruited midfielders Sandro Tonali and Mateus Fernandes, while Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke have strengthened the defence.
Tottenham are reportedly continuing discussions with City over another attacking player, Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush.
The scale of the spending comes after Spurs endured a difficult 2025-26 campaign and narrowly avoided relegation.
De Zerbi’s side made a poor start to the new Premier League season, losing 3-0 away to Brentford on Saturday.
They will look to respond when they host Championship side Charlton Athletic in the League Cup second round on Wednesday before facing Newcastle United in the Premier League on Saturday.
