Paulo Dybala then rounded things off with a strike on the final whistle as the Copa America winners routed the European champions.
Officially, Argentina win the battle of continents for South America as they clinched another trophy with a 3- 0 victory against Italy.
Lionel Messi walked away with the Man of the Match award in the game after putting in a masterclass.
