Man City chairman vows to fight on after financial rule verdict
Manchester City chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak has insisted the club remains confident of proving its innocence after an independent commission found the Premier League champions guilty of the vast majority of the charges brought against them.
The case centres on 115 alleged breaches of Premier League financial regulations, including accusations concerning sponsorship income and payments that were allegedly not properly disclosed.

Following the latest development, Al Mubarak wrote to City supporters and stressed that the legal process is not yet over, with the club expected to appeal.
Al Mubarak maintains City’s position
Addressing supporters on the club’s website, Al Mubarak said City’s confidence in its defence remains unchanged despite the commission’s findings.
“The Premier League process still has a long way to run, and our confidence and intent in proving the club’s innocence is just as strong as when this began,” he said.
The chairman explained that the club could not publicly disclose more details because of the confidentiality surrounding the proceedings.
He added that City had faced difficult periods before and would continue to defend its position despite what he described as efforts to undermine the club.
The Premier League has not officially announced any punishment, while reports indicate that City will appeal the findings.
Potential consequences remain unclear
Any eventual sanctions have yet to be determined and could potentially include a points deduction, a fine or even expulsion from the Premier League.
