Officers of Nigeria Customs Service invade hotel in Abuja; Place the hotel and guests on lockdown

A Twitter user identified as Mazi, has taken to his handle to create awareness about a recent occurrence in a hotel located in Abuja.

According to Mazi, Officers of the Nigeria Custom Service invaded Fraser Suites in Abuja and laid siege, preventing foreign diplomats and guests lodged in the hotel from coming in or going out.

They harassed and ordered the staff of the hotel to wake their guests up from sleep to identify their cars and show Customs duty.

In his words;
Happening Now:Customs Officers just invaded Fraser Suites in Abuja, preventing foreign diplomats & guests lodged in the hotel from coming in or going out.They are harassing & ordering the staff to wake guests up from sleep to identify their cars and show Customs duty.This is bad!”

Following Mazi‘s tweet, Nigerians have reacted to the incident, some condemning the action of the Customs service and others sharing their previous experience with these officers.
