“I see blood” — Woman proceeds with first-ever UK trip despite frightening prophecy

A man has shared the experience of a woman in her 60s who travelled to the United Kingdom despite allegedly receiving a frightening warning from her prophet shortly before the trip.

According to the man, the woman, who is his sister’s friend’s mother, secured a six-month UK visit visa earlier this year to visit her daughter for Omugwo, a Nigerian tradition in which a mother or relative assists with caring for a new mother and baby after childbirth.

About two weeks before her scheduled departure, the woman reportedly visited her prophet to inform him about her upcoming journey.

Prophet warns woman about UK trip

After praying for her, the prophet reportedly gave her a warning about the journey.

The prophet told her, “Ọ̀nà ò dá.”

The narrator explained that the Yoruba expression means, “The road is not good.”

According to him, the prophet also claimed that he was seeing blood, leaving the woman extremely frightened and uncertain about proceeding with the trip.

Her daughter, however, continued reassuring her that she would be fine and eventually convinced her to travel despite her fears.

Woman returns safely after UK visit

The woman subsequently travelled to the UK and spent time with her daughter before completing her visit.

According to the narrator, she returned home on Monday safe, healthy and strong, despite the warning she had received before her departure.

Reflecting on what happened, the man argued that cancelling the journey because of the prophecy would have meant losing an opportunity to visit the United Kingdom for the first time in her life.

The experience has raised broader questions about fear, religious predictions and the extent to which people allow such warnings to influence major personal decisions.
