A female lawyer has shared details of how a deceased lawyer was honoured during a court session.
The video posted to the lawyer’s TikTok handle, @anns_glam, captured what transpired during the court session.

In the now-viral TikTok video, the female lawyer disclosed it was customary to honor a deceased lawyer in Nigeria’s legal system.
According to the legal practitioner, families and close associates of the deceased are not exempted from the one-hour court session.
However, the deceased’s biography was read out alongside achievements and impact on the legal profession, thereby concluding the court session.
The session was presided by the Chief Judge, who could appoint another judge in his absence.
