“He brought his girlfriend home” – Woman Claims
Following the incident, the woman said she became afraid of returning to the well.
She alleged that her husband later fetched the water himself and told her he would bring his girlfriend to take care of him.
According to her, the woman was brought into their home that same night.
In her words:
“Good morning mummy. Post for me. Advice me. I am pregnant. I am in my third trimester. The small house my husband built has no water, so we fetch water from a well.
“Recently I have been having issues drawing water from the well. I told him I couldn’t keep fetching water because it makes me feel dizzy and nauseous. I told him I might lose my balance and fall inside the well, but he said it would be better if I fell inside.
“I still tried to fetch the water. I slipped, but I managed to hold myself and didn’t fall into the well.
“Later, he told me he would bring his girlfriend to take care of him. He brought her that night. She fetched water for him, cooked for him and they slept together, while he told me to sleep in the parlour.
“Please, just be honest with me. Did I do wrong by complaining? Should I have continued fetching water in my condition? I feel like I am stupid. I should have tried. Now he may marry another woman and send me away.”
