Many women go into marriages for survival – Lady

A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after sharing her views on marriage, divorce, and financial dependence among women.
Speaking in a viral video, the lady claimed that some women enter marriages primarily for survival and financial security rather than love or companionship.
According to her, some women allegedly leave marriages shortly after childbirth once they gain access to a man’s wealth.
She further argued that many women in Nigeria struggle to survive independently and have been socially conditioned to see men as a means of making life easier.
The lady also claimed that some seemingly successful female entrepreneurs were initially financially supported by men, suggesting that such support often plays a major role in the foundation of their businesses.
The lady said …
“You’ll bring a woman in, she’ll give you a child and she’ll ask for a divorce after a year just because she’s after your money. Many of our women now are going into marriages for survival, many of the women in Nigeria cannot survive on their own without a man, even those who have the capacity to survive have been educated that they need a man to make life easier. Sometimes if you see a woman running a business and driving a good car and you’re counting her among the women that’s doing well for herself, if you go deep and go dig the beginning of the business, you’ll find out that it’s a man that funded the business”
