Man shares the drama that ensued after he tried paying back his friend the N10K loan he was owing after six months.

The Nigerian man identified on X as @ahdebee stated that he had borrowed the sum of N10,000 in July from his friend, and six months later, he tried paying back the load but the friend insisted that he would pay him N18K.

It was learned that the friend stated that the dollar/naira exchange rate wasn’t the same as what he had given to him a couple of months back and decided to increase the sum due to the prevailing dollar surge.

The man wrote …

“July last year you borrow me 10k, now I want to pay back the 10k I borrowed you’re telling me what I’ll pay back is 18k because dollar was 800 then and 1500 now.”
