“I’m underrated in the music industry” – Singer Skales laments

Raoul John Njeng-Njeng, better known as Skales, a popular musician, has alleged that he is underappreciated in the music industry.

He considers himself to be “the greatest artist” in the music industry. He claimed that fans do not give him enough credit.

Skales appeared on the Hip TV show Trending, which was hosted by reality sensation Kim Oprah. The ‘Shake Body’ singer also revealed that he struggled with low self-esteem in his early career.

He said, “I just rediscovered myself in 2020. I’ve been dealing with a lot of low self-esteem. Even though I have all the big songs in the world, I still doubt myself. But now, I’m more confident.

“I believe I’m among the set that started taking afrobeats to the world. I was honoured and opportune to be part of it. I tell myself I’m the greatest artist out there. This is no disrespect to anybody. It’s just my opinion of myself. I believe that I’m the rave of the moment because where I’m right now musically is inspiring.”
