“They’ve taken my money, all my savings. From 2022, I have been saving in Access Bank. I was not around. I just arrived yesterday and came to the bank today, Monday. When I arrived to check my balance in Access Bank, I cannot find even one thousand naira in the account,” she said.
According to the woman, she was supposed to have about ₦2 million in the account between 2022 and 2023. She said she continued saving from 2023 to 2026, only to discover that the money was no longer there.
She further alleged that Access Bank informed her that ₦20,000 had been withdrawn from the account repeatedly from 2024, despite her insisting that she did not carry out the transactions. She also said she planned to visit an MTN office to find out what happened to her SIM card.
“Please Nigerians, please I need your help. I was living in Dubai. I was working. I went through a lot. Please somebody, please help. I want my money back. I don’t know how to recover from this,” she added.
The woman’s account has prompted concern online, with some social media users urging her to formally report the alleged unauthorised transactions to the bank and relevant authorities.
She continued to appeal for assistance as she seeks to recover the savings she claims to have lost.
