According to her account, she said she experienced what she described as domestic violence during the marriage, including an incident she said occurred when she was eight weeks postpartum.
“At eight weeks postpartum, looking at a bruise on my face, I had to stop calling it a difficult season and tell myself the truth: It was domestic violence,” she wrote.
Aj’a also said she had remained hopeful that the relationship would improve and continued trying for the sake of her family and marriage.
However, she said she eventually realised that staying was affecting her wellbeing.
“I didn’t leave because I stopped loving him. I left because I realized that if I continued to stay, eventually I would drown,” she added.
Her claims come after Yahdan previously gained attention for publicly discussing how he financially supports his wife. He had claimed that he paid her $250,000 annually to be a stay-at-home mother, while also providing household support and other benefits.
Aj’a has now said she is choosing a new chapter focused on herself and her children, while asking for privacy as she processes the situation.
Yahdan, whose online content focuses on relationships, wellness and financial provision, had not publicly responded to the allegations at the time of reporting.
