“I asked him out and he…” — lady shares heartbreak experience

A lady has sparked reactions online after recounting how she gathered the courage to ask a male friend out, only to be rejected over her body type.

Bold move ends in shock

The lady, whose story was shared on social media platform X on Thursday, said the incident happened during their time in school where they were known to be very close.

According to her, their friendship had grown to the point that many coursemates already assumed they were a couple, prompting her to take the bold step.

“We’ve been friends for long. We did everything together, gist, assignments, movies. Everybody in the department already gave us a couple name. The guy had no girlfriend, so I said let me help his life,” she said.

Rejection over body preference

She explained that after spending time together watching a movie, she decided to express her feelings, expecting a positive response due to their closeness.

“I wore my confidence and went to his hostel. We just finished an Indian film where the guy confessed love, so I said, ‘So… us?’ The shock on his face! Then he said I’m a good person but he likes ladies with big yansh and mine wasn’t enough. I didn’t even know how I got back to my hostel,” she added.

The story has since gone viral, with many users sharing similar experiences of rejection based on physical preferences.
