Hantavirus: “We will not comply” – Trump rejects lockdown amid outbreak fears

A video of United States President Donald Trump speaking against lockdowns, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates has resurfaced amid growing discussions about recent hantavirus cases.

The clip began trending shortly after the (WHO) confirmed multiple hantavirus cases linked to a cruise ship sailing in the Atlantic Ocean.

Trump Rejects Lockdowns

In the resurfaced video, Trump criticised what he described as attempts to bring back COVID-era restrictions through fear.

“The left-wing lunatics are trying very hard to bring back COVID lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fear-mongering. These are bad people. These are sick people we’re dealing with,” Trump said.

He further declared that Americans would not accept another round of lockdowns or mandates.

“But to every COVID tyrant who wants to take away our freedom, hear these words: We will not comply. So don’t even think about it,” he added.

“We Will Not Accept Your Lockdown”

The US president also stated that schools and public institutions should not be shut down again over health concerns.

We will not shut down our schools. We will not accept your lockdown. We will not abide by your mask mandates,” Trump said.

“And we will not tolerate your vaccine mandates.”

Threat to Cut Federal Funding

Trump further warned that institutions enforcing mask or vaccine requirements could lose federal support if he returned to office.

“I will use every available authority to cut federal funding to any school, college, airline or public transportation system that imposes a mask mandate or a vaccine mandate. Thank you very much,” he stated.
