Driver alleges unpaid salary, says he earned millions working for LAGRIDE without pay
A Nigerian driver has raised allegations against LAGRIDE, claiming he has not been paid despite working for several months on the platform.
The unidentified driver made this known while speaking with the radio station, Nigeria Info 99.3 FM.
The man stated that he had been driving for about eight months and generated significant revenue monthly, yet did not receive any payment during that period.
He further alleged that he has now been told he owes the company money for failing to meet certain targets.
He also described difficult working conditions, claiming he often worked long hours daily, sometimes spending extended periods inside the car due to the demands of the job.
His words in part …
“I have been working for LAGRIDE for 8 months and they’ve never paid me before. Every month from November, I’ve been making 1.8 million monthly as a driver for LAGRIDE, making 9 million for 5 months and they never paid me a dime and now they’re saying I still owe them 1.3 million for not meeting up to their target. I make 65 to 100K everyday for them and I am expected to work six days a week…”
