“Don’t kill to rule” – Pastor Paul Enenche sends strong message to Nigerian leaders ahead of 2027 elections

The Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, Dr. Paul Enenche, has issued a strong message on leadership and elections in Nigeria, urging leaders to ensure they are genuinely wanted by the people they govern.

He made the remarks during a sermon while speaking on governance, elections, and public accountability, stressing that leadership should be based on acceptance, not force or manipulation.

“People say they don’t want you, yet you spend money to impose yourself on them. Is that not a shame? Somebody should lead because you are wanted. You should lead because they want you.

They say they don’t want you, and you’re trying to bribe people to compromise elections. Is that not a shame? That you are rejected, and you are imposing yourself.

They don’t want you. Clear out. Don’t contest at all. Don’t rig to lead. Don’t kill to come into power. Let them need you. It’s the people you are leading that should determine whether they want you,” he said.

He further warned against silence in the face of wrongdoing, calling on Nigerians and pastors to speak boldly against injustice and poor leadership.

According to him, silence in the face of evil is equivalent to consent, urging citizens not to be afraid to speak out whenever necessary.

His message adds to the growing discussions on leadership accountability and electoral conduct ahead of the 2027 elections.
