Club World Cup: Treble winners Man City beat Urawa Red Diamonds 3-0 in Saudi Arabia

Manchester City started their first-ever Club World Cup title race with a 3-0 win over Urawa Red Diamonds in Saudi Arabia.

Pep Guardiola’s side qualified for the competition after winning the Champions League as part of their historic treble last season.

The encounter saw a stiff start, as there was no ice-breaker, until first-half added time, when Red Diamond’s defender Marius Hoibraten scored an own goal.

City capitalized on their lead in the second half with quick-fire goals, just few minutes into the half.

Mateo Kovacic converted an assist by Kyle Walker to double the lead, before Bernardo Silva’s masterpiece seven minutes later.
