Boxing: Conor McGregor encourages Danis to cheat in boxing debut against Paul

Former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor has encouraged his former teammate Dillon Danis to cheat in his boxing debut.

Danis is set to hit the canvas in a fight against Logan Paul, former YouTuber-turned-boxer, on October 14 at the AO Arena in Manchester.

McGregor who is popular for his fiery personality in the Mixed Martial Arts (MMA), recently left a comment on a video posted by Danis on his official X account, ahead of the highly anticipated matchup.

He said, “Let’s go brother! Logan’s broken. Broken wrist. Broken heart. Pull guard and break his leg. Depending. Enjoy! Cash in time. Well done! Respect. Make the walk and you a winner.”

Danis, 30, is a former MMA talent with a Black Belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, who has been working on his stand-up skills for his transition to boxing.

McGregor was unable to help Danis train and thinks that his best chance at victory is to forget about the rules of boxing like Nate Diaz threatened to do during his clash with Jake Paul.

McGregor’s advice to “pull guard and break his leg” is totally against the boxing rules, and could only be allowed in the world of MMA and jiu-jitsu, where submission techniques can be used on the ground.
