Notably, the actor’s passing on Monday, May 11, 2025, at age 40 left netizens in shock, with fans expressing grief and disbelief online.
Alexx Ekubo Passes Away
According to a statement from his family, the actor passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer.
Meanwhile, his funeral arrangements would be announced in due course.

In a post on his X handle @bigbam2709, the man described Alexx Ekubo as a cool individual revealing he was his senior at Federal Government College, Daura, Katsina State.
”Funny enough Alex Ikenna Ekubo was our senior in Federal Government College Daura. He was really a cool guy all along. Rest in peace senior“, The tweet reads.
