“Yoruba demon thing is a lie, heartbreak has nothing to do with tribe” — Uriel

Big Brother Naija star, Uriel has shared an Instastory post centered on the “Yoruba demon” myth which also gives a nod to the popular Nigerian slang/phrase “breakfast na national cake”.

The reality TV star stated that claims made about “Yoruba demons” (slang for a young Casanova, typically of Yoruba descent who has the uncanny gift to effortlessly make ladies fall for them very easily) are lies as heartbreak has nothing to with any tribe.

The reality TV star went on to reveal that the man who completely shattered her heart is Igbo and she “saw shege”.

Uriel wrote, “Let me tell you this Yoruba Demon thing is a lie. The person wey show me correct ose with a side dish of pepper soup na Igbo. I saw shege. It’s not a tribe thing biko”.
