Woman calls out son’s school over dismissal of his career in viral video
A Nigerian mother has stirred reactions online after accusing her son’s school of dismissing his ambition during preparations for an upcoming career day event.
In a video shared on X, the visibly concerned woman alleged that her child was repeatedly underestimated by his teachers, a situation she said became clear during a recent classroom exercise.
According to her, pupils were asked to state their future career goals ahead of the school’s career day scheduled for next week.
However, when it was her son’s turn, his response reportedly did not receive the same attention as others.
Career Aspiration Dismissed
The mother explained that her son boldly told the school director he wanted to become a “hacker.” She noted that although the child may not fully understand the technical term, she has often clarified to him that it relates to cyber security.
Despite this, she claimed the school failed to take his ambition seriously.
“Now, the director was supposed to go and make research on all the careers that the students have said they want to be,” she said in the video.
She added that other students were given notes to study and recite as part of the career day presentation, but her son was allegedly overlooked.
Emotional Reaction and Bold Claims
While expressing mild frustration, the woman maintained she was not entirely angry, insisting she believes strongly in her child’s future.
“I’m not angry because I know my son is a billionaire,” she said, confidently predicting that her child would one day become “the youngest richest guy in the world.”
She also warned critics and school authorities not to claim credit for her son’s future success, stating she would play a major role in managing his journey.
