He recalled that during his wedding ceremony, someone reportedly tagged the EFCC and called for an investigation after guests threw money on the floor during the celebration.
“That time I did wedding, that was how one idiot tagged EFCC that they should investigate me that people threw money on the floor during the event,” he said.
Peller explained that the EFCC eventually invited him for questioning over the incident. According to him, what helped him was that officials had noticed his repeated attempts to caution guests against throwing money on the ground.
He expressed gratitude that the EFCC officials handled the matter reasonably, describing them as wise and sensible.
“If not that EFCC people are wise, they are good people, and they also have sense. They called, and sent me invite and I went. They said what saved me was because they saw the way I was cautioning everybody not to throw money on the ground,” he added.
Peller questioned why some people would go out of their way to cause problems for others instead of focusing on improving their own lives.
His comments have sparked discussions online, with some Nigerians sharing similar experiences of being reported or criticised over their financial success.
He urged people to focus on making their own money rather than trying to bring down others who are enjoying the fruits of their labour.
