Who was Jordan Devey? Biography & Career Life

Jordan Devey (January 11, 1988–July 21, 2026) was an American professional football guard who played eight seasons in the National Football League.

He played collegiate football for the Memphis Tigers, earning second-team All-Conference USA honours in 2012. Devey began his NFL career in 2013 as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots, where he spent his first two seasons and helped the team win Super Bowl XLIX.

He also played for the San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Oakland/Los Angeles Raiders, and Buffalo Bills.

Devey had Osgood-Schlatter disease while playing football in junior high and did not continue playing in high school. He eventually recovered.

Devey played tuba in the American Fork High School band and baseball team. Despite being eligible for multiple music scholarships, he spent two years serving on a mission in Costa Rica for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

College Career

He attended Snow College in Ephraim, Utah, and played multiple positions on the football team. He transferred to the University of Memphis and played right tackle, right guard, and left tackle. He got the DeAngelo Williams Most Valuable Player award.

Devey died on July 21, 2026, at the age of 38, as confirmed by his wife. His family later stated he died by suicide.
