Guidera was born in San Francisco on October 18, 1960. After college, Guidera relocated to Paris, France, where he lived and traveled from 1983 to 1992.
During this time, he collaborated with famous European directors on advertisements in countries including Brazil, Uruguay, New Zealand, South Africa, Morocco, and Turkey.
He studied theatre under Robert Cordier at the Théâtre Marie Stuart in Paris, where he appeared in bilingual performances in French and English.
He also went between New York and Paris to study and perform theater, including attending Robert Lewis’ Master Class, one of the original founders of the Actors Studio.
Career
His debut role was as a bodyguard in The Godfather Part III. He has also appeared in Species, The Rock, The Postman, and Armageddon.
Renegade, Baywatch, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (“The Circle”), and Angel (“The Ring”) all had Guidera as a guest star.
In 1996, he received the MTV Movie Award for Best Kiss with co-star Natasha Henstridge in the film Species.
