UFC fighter Allan Nascimento dies in his sleep at age 34

Brazilian mixed martial artist Allan Nascimento has died in his sleep at the age of 34 after being found unresponsive at his home, the UFC has confirmed.

The promotion announced the news in a statement on X, saying emergency medical personnel responded after Nascimento was discovered without signs of life. Despite attempts to revive him through cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Initial reports indicate that the Brazilian fighter may have suffered a sudden heart attack while asleep. However, the exact cause of death is yet to be officially confirmed pending further medical examination.

UFC confirms tragic loss

In its statement, the UFC said Nascimento was found dead inside his home on Saturday morning.

Medical teams were dispatched immediately after the incident was reported, but efforts to resuscitate the bantamweight fighter proved unsuccessful.

The organisation has not released further details surrounding the circumstances of his death, while tributes have continued to pour in from across the mixed martial arts community.

Nascimento was widely respected for his professionalism and determination throughout his career, earning admiration from teammates, opponents and fans alike.

Nascimento leaves behind a professional record of 22 victories and seven defeats from 29 mixed martial arts contests.
