Tinubu acknowledges Ajuri Ngelale’s resignation

President Bola Tinubu acknowledges a memo from his spokesman and Special Presidential Envoy on Climate Action, Ajuri Ngelale, announcing his resignation due to personal and health-related reasons.

In a statement released by the presidency on Saturday, it was noted that the President accepted Ngelale’s reasons for stepping down, expressing his understanding and sympathy for the situation that prompted the decision.

The President extended his prayers and well wishes to Ngelale and his family, hoping for a quick recovery and full restoration of the health of the affected family members.

He also acknowledged Ngelale’s dedication and contributions to the nation, particularly in promoting national dialogue and leading efforts on climate action and other key initiatives.

“The President wishes him well in all his future endeavours. During this period, we kindly ask that the wish for privacy of Chief Ngelale and his family be respected,” said the statement.
