Super Eagles coach Peseiro has no doubt Osimhen can win Ballon d’Or

Super Eagles Head Coach Jose Peseiro believes in Victor Osimhen’s potential to win the Ballon d’Or some day in the future.

Osimhen is currently among the 30 nominees for the 2023 men’s Ballon d’Or award.

Peseiro suggests while it is tough for the 24-year-old to secure the prestigious award this year, given the stiff competition from other players, Osimhen possesses the qualities needed to achieve the height in the near future.

“He (Osimhen) can surely win the Ballon d’Or in the future. He’s not lacking anything to do it,” Peseiro stated in an interview with Italian publication II Mattino.

“He has different characteristics than other players that are at the top at this moment, but he scores a lot as well,” he added.

Meanwhile, Osimhen has also been shortlisted for the FIFA Best Men’s Award for his performance in the year under review.
