Sunday Oliseh hints on his son playing for Nigeria despite having Moroccan and Belgian roots

Nigerian football legend and former Super Eagles coach, Sunday Oliseh has disclosed the country his son, Denzel, will be playing for in the future.

Sunday Oliseh revealed that his son will be playing for Nigeria following a conversation that ensued between him and his followers after he shared a photo of him and his wife, Hafidah, watching the World Cup match between Belgium and Morocco on Sunday, November 27.

Morocco threw a giant wrench into the Group F mix on Sunday with an upset victory of Belgium, 2-0. Belgium came into the tournament No. 2 in the last FIFA men’s soccer rankings and were shoo-ins to get to the knockout stage and among the favorites to win it all.

Before the match began, Oliseh wrote;

“I finally get an opportunity to watch a world cup match (Morocco vs Belgium) with my best friend, wife and mother of my 2 beautiful kids,Hafi. What a joyful moment as Morocco won for Africa. Bravo le Maroc et allez l’Afrique.”

During the exchange, the football legend disclosed that his wife is 100% Moroccan even though she was born in Belgium.

When asked which country his son will play for, Sunday Oliseh responded by writing “Naija” accompanied by emojis of thumbs up and prayer.
