Solanke rescues 10-man Tottenham with stoppage-time goal against Man United

Manchester United missed the opportunity to secure victory at Old Trafford after Dominic Solanke scored a late equaliser to earn Tottenham Hotspur a 1-1 draw despite playing with 10 men.

Mbeumo breaks the deadlock
United eventually took the lead through Bryan Mbeumo, who finished a well-worked move after receiving a pass from Matheus Cunha.

The goal offered the hosts an opportunity to take control of the game after an unconvincing first-half display. However, they were unable to establish a decisive advantage against a Tottenham side that continued to search for an equaliser.

Bentancur sent off before late Tottenham comeback
The match took another turn in the 78th minute when Rodrigo Bentancur was shown a red card following his involvement in a confrontation with Manchester United defender Luke Shaw.
Tottenham were left with 10 players for the closing stages, making their task of recovering from a goal down considerably more difficult.
United appeared to have the numerical advantage needed to protect their lead, but they could not prevent a late Tottenham response.
In the 92nd minute, Spurs captain Dominic Solanke connected with a header and managed to direct the ball into the net, restoring parity and silencing the home crowd.
The late goal completed a frustrating evening for United, who had been unable to capitalise on their lead despite Tottenham’s dismissal.
