“She said his family can’t join…” – Lady shares shocking reason cousin cancelled wedding days before ceremony
A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after sharing why her cousin cancelled his wedding just days before the ceremony.
According to her, the bride-to-be reportedly told her fiancé that his family members would not be allowed to join her aso-ebi because they lacked class, despite the man being the one who paid for the outfits.
Narrating the ordeal, she said:
“My cousin cancelled his wedding after his fiancée said his family members weren’t going to join her aso-ebi because she has class. Meanwhile, it was my cousin that paid for the aso-ebi.”
The lady further claimed that the fiancée also allegedly stated that her future mother-in-law would not be welcomed for Omugwo after childbirth, a comment that reportedly angered the groom and his family.
She further revealed that the situation became more shocking because the lady’s own father was still living in a mud house in the village despite her claims about class and standards.
“She was even saying his mother won’t come for Omugwo after childbirth. Funny part is her own father still lives in a mud house in the village. Now the wedding has been cancelled and her family are begging,” she added.
The story has triggered mixed reactions online, with many social media users expressing shock over the incident, while others supported the groom’s decision to cancel the wedding.
