“She left her husband, now she dates a married man” – Woman recounts friend’s ₦300k hotel encounter
A Nigerian woman has recounted how her friend left her husband over alleged infidelity, only to later discover that she was dating a married man.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), she explained that her friend accused her husband of bringing other women into their home and disrespecting her and their children, prompting her to leave with their kids.

In her words, she said:
“A lady who happens to be my friend, yesterday while I was with her, told me she left her husband because he’s cheating on her. She said, ‘Maureen, this man brings girls to the house to sleep with them. He doesn’t respect me or the children. I had to leave.
But the funny part was, our friend, who is a married man, came to the hotel where we were to see us. The next thing, my girlfriend followed him inside the hotel room.”
The woman revealed that her friend later told her the married man gave her ₦300,000 and admitted they were dating.
She questioned the situation, noting that her friend had left her husband because of infidelity but was allegedly now involved with a married man.
“She now said the two of them are dating. Them dey date married man? That means she was also cheating on her husband with the married man.
She told me not to be judgmental. Honestly, I’m not because she left with her kids and she’s the one taking responsibility. But this is what you left your husband for. You left your husband because he was cheating on you, now you’re doing the same thing and you feel it’s okay,” she added.
The story has sparked reactions online, with some questioning the apparent contradiction in the woman’s choices while others discussed her explanation for dating married men.
