An emotional video of a Nigerian woman repeatedly praying for her only son, who is reportedly battling mental illness, has gone viral on social media.
In an account shared on TikTok, the man who posted the video revealed that he had seen the woman praying at the same roadside junction several times before finally asking about her situation.

According to him, he was told that the woman has only one son, who has been battling mental illness, and she returns to the spot regularly, holding onto her faith and believing that God will heal him.
In his words, he captioned:
“This is the fourth time I’ve seen this woman praying at the same junction. Today, I finally asked why. They told me she has only one son, and he has been battling mental illness. Every day she comes back, believing God will heal him.”
The video showed the woman holding a Bible and praying beside a roadside culvert, where her son was reportedly lying.
The man noted that some people may have misunderstood her repeated visits and labelled her as crazy without knowing the story behind her actions.
“Some people call her crazy because they don’t know her story. But she’s not crazy. She’s a mother who refuses to give up on her only child,” he added.
The emotional footage has touched many Nigerians online, with viewers expressing sympathy for the woman and praying for her son’s recovery.
