A Nigerian lady has stirred reactions online after calling out a pastor for his alleged decision to reject an ex-prostitute his son intended to marry despite her reported life transformation.

The lady, identified as @Dammi_Esq, shared the story on X (formerly Twitter), sparking discussion among social media users.

From Evangelism to Transformation

According to her post, the pastor had earlier met the lady during an evangelism outreach and preached to her. She was said to have repented, given her life to Christ, and left prostitution behind, completely changing her lifestyle.

The woman reportedly began attending the same church and became known among members as a testimony of redemption.

Love Story Sparks Controversy

The situation allegedly took a dramatic turn a year later when the pastor’s son met the woman in church.

The duo were said to have fallen in love and decided to get married. However, when he eventually took her home for family introduction, the pastor reportedly refused to accept the relationship.

She wrote: “A pastor went out for evangelism and met a pr0.stitute.

He preached to her. She repented, gave her life to Christ, left pr0.stituti0n, and completely changed her life. She even started attending the same church.

A year later, she met the pastor’s son in church. They fell in love and decided to get married.

When the son took her home to introduce her to his father, the pastor refused.

The same woman he once celebrated as a “soul won for Christ” suddenly wasn’t good enough to be his daughter-in-law.

Now my question is simple:

Do we truly believe in redemption or only when it benefits our sermons?”
