Seven-month banned Fagioli to sign new deal at Juventus until June 2028

Nicolo Fagioli is set to sign a new contract with Juventus that will keep him at the club until June 2028.

According to a recent tweet by Fabrizio Romano, the club is showing support to the Italian midfielder as he was out of contract in three years.

Meanwhile, recall that Fagioli has recently been banned for seven months due to his involvement in a gambling scandal in Italy.

After the ban was announced, Fagioli said, “I thought to start apologising to Juventus fans and all the football fans around the world after my mistake…”

“But I’m shocked by fake stories on the newspapers, full of fake details just to put me in a bad light.”

Although the details of the ban have not been officially released, Sky Sports suggest it might see him miss the rest of the season and part of next season, forcing him also, out of Italy’s Euro 2024 squad.

Despite the player’s current setback, Fagioli’s salary reportedly, will be increased as part of his new contract.
