AC Milan goalkeeper Mike Maignan emerged as the unsung hero for his side in their hard-fought 1-0 victory over Fiorentina on Saturday.

The Italian club’s no.1 received praises for his vital contributions in securing all three points for his side, having faced pressure to deliver a positive result after a disappointing spell before the recent international break.

Milan who have been struggling to score goals since the start of the season, claimed the 1-0 victory, courtesy of a Theo Hernandez penalty just before halftime.

However, the team struggled to assert dominance in the second half, allowing Fiorentina opportunities to level the score, but Maignan exceptional saves helped Milan seal the win.
