Sergio Ramos considering leaving Sevilla following club’s financial crisis

Sevilla defender Sergio Ramos is exploring potential transfer opportunities for the upcoming summer as uncertainty looms over his future.

The 38-year-old, who returned to Sevilla last summer on a one-year deal, is evaluating his options with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Ramos’s existing deal with Sevilla is reportedly worth around €2 million per season, significantly lower than offers he received from other clubs last year.

With no renewal approach from Sevilla yet, Ramos is keen to avoid a repeat of the uncertainty he faced last summer and is reportedly seeking clarity regarding his future.

However, Ramos is willing to wait for Sevilla’s decision before committing to any other offers, Football Espana revealed.

The Spanish giants on the other, are currently faced with financial challenges, including the need to reduce their salary bill by €60 million this summer, to achieve financial stability.
