“Rich men are only attractive to lazy girls” — Lady says

A Nigerian lady has sparked reactions online after criticising what she described as the growing obsession with money among Nigerians.

In a viral video, she argued that many wealthy Nigerian men were not necessarily attractive because, according to her, some lacked personalities beyond their financial status.

Lady questions Nigerians’ obsession with money

She said some people had made money their primary identity, while neglecting important qualities such as good communication, listening and positive character.

“Many rich men in Nigeria are not attractive, except you’re a lazy girl, because they don’t have a personality outside money.”

The lady extended her criticism to average Nigerians, saying the pursuit of wealth often appeared to dominate their personalities and interactions.

“And not just rich men, even normal average people from Nigeria, we don’t have a personality outside trying to get money.”

She also criticised the way Nigerians allegedly use poverty as an insult during arguments on social media and in everyday interactions.

According to her, people often resort to mocking another person’s financial status rather than addressing the actual issue being discussed.

“The manner at which we broke shame people in Nigeria, it’s a normal, it’s a random thing.”

‘Money is not a mask’

The lady further argued that wealth should not be used to hide poor behaviour or bad character.

She urged people to develop their personalities and interpersonal skills even after achieving financial success.

“All you want to do as a man or as a woman is to have money. Once you have money, feel like say, money they cover the multitude of bad attitude wey you get.”

She added:

“Money is not a max o. Instead, money is a revealer.”

According to her, people should work on themselves after becoming financially successful because personality remains important in human relationships.

“See all this, after you get money finished, work on your person.”

She urges Nigerians to improve their social skills

The lady also encouraged people to become better conversationalists and listeners instead of focusing solely on financial success.

“Personality still matters a lot. na people dey deal with you. No be that paper where you gather, na people, they deal with.”

She said simple acts such as greeting people, complimenting others and engaging in meaningful conversations should not be replaced with displays of wealth.

“You know fit talk, some of you cannot greet people.”

She concluded by urging Nigerians to change their attitude, stressing that money should not be considered a substitute for good character.

“Any small, you go push money for their front. make una change. e no good.”
